IIHR Research Engineer Michelle Scherer has been appointed to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Science Advisory Board’s (SAB) Environmental Engineering Committee for a three-year term, which began in November 2013. Scherer is also professor and departmental executive officer of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Iowa.

The SAB Environmental Engineering Committee provides independent advice to the EPA Administrator, through the chartered SAB, on risk management technologies to control and prevent pollution.
