Air Quality Update May 17

A high ozone event is occurring today over Lake Michigan.  In Eastern Iowa, the National Weather Service 8-hour average predicted ozone levels are elevated to 40 – 45 parts per billion (ppb) and will begin to decrease tomorrow.  See our guide to ozone concentrations here.   Current air quality in Eastern Iowa is moderate today and forecast to improve.
