Connie Mutel, IIHR historian and archivist

Connie Mutel of IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering is the keynote speaker for the Center for Prairie Studies Water Symposium at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. Her program is titled, “Water in Iowa: From Gift to Curse and Back Again.”

This presentation is part of a two-day symposium (April 6–7)  titled, “Iowa’s Troubled Waters: the Challenges of Quality and Quantity.” It will examine the causes and economic and social consequences of severe recent floods, surface and ground water impairment, and disruptions to hydrology.
