IIHR Grants & Contracts (1948 - Present)

This record set includes the administrative and developmental papers for many IIHR projects funded by public or private grants and contracts received from the mid-1940s (immediately following World War II) to the present, with papers at present    extending only through the 1970s. These papers may include correspondence, original grants and contracts, data sets, photographs, draft reports, and occasionally high-quality original photographs. Administrative papers are not necessarily complete. Final reports for the projects (often unpublished) may be in the “IIHR Publications and Reports” record set (which in many ways parallels this record set), or in the Rouse, Kennedy, or Landweber record sets.

The record set includes nine boxes of materials arranged chronologically, from 1948 to the present. The record set could be considered the continuation of the “Early IIHR Research” and “World War II Research” record sets. It could also be paired with the “IIHR Publications and Reports” record set and with IIHR’s reprint series (housed in the IIHR Resource Center) to give a comprehensive picture of research completed during the stated time period.
