Volunteers will remove garbage from the western banks of the Iowa River from Burlington Street to railroad trestle.

Volunteer activities, in addition to the removal of small debris, may include the removal of larger trash from the banks and sandbars of the river (i.e., tires or building materials). Volunteers may also choose to sort and wash recyclable material from the collected debris.  The clean-up will be outdoors. Please plan accordingly by wearing proper attire; sturdy closed-toe shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. If you have a pair of work gloves, they are recommended. Bags and some gloves will be provided.  Thank you!
