Overview

This is a core engineering course at The University of Iowa. A large number (~ 250) of students enroll in one of two lecture sections (Section AAA or Section BBB) and in one discussion section (Sections A31, A32, A33, A34, B35, B36, B37, or B38). There are two instructors and four teaching assistants. The course is taught synchronized across sections: instructors cover the same material each week, all students are assigned the same homework, students can visit with any available teaching assistant, there is a common class website, and all students take the same midterm- and final exams. However, the instructors have their individual teaching styles, and may have different classroom materials such as slides. Students should attend the lecture- and discussion section they registered for, and should not attend other sessions. Here are the course policies.

Teaching Assistants

The teaching assistants for this class will hold office hours, grade homework, and conduct discussion sessions. The T.A.s are shared across sections. That is, students from any section can visit with any available T.A. during the T.A.'s office hours. However, students should attend the discussion section they registered for, and should not attend other discussion sessions.

T.A. offices are located in 1313 SC.
