Air Quality Update May 2

Posted on May 2nd, 2017

Very clean conditions throughout the upper midwest today, both for ozone and particulate matter.

We’re gearing up our measurements and our models for the Lake Michigan Ozone Study.  Doesn’t start for another 2 ½ weeks, but we did a mock flight planning exercise.  If we were going to fly atmospheric science aircraft tomorrow, we would fly to sample some of these ozone and nitrogen oxide features we are forecasting in the WRF-Chem model.
