Are there valuable, un-mined minerals in Iowa?

The Northeast Iowa Formation may contain minerals valued as high as $1 trillion.  The IGS is currently analyzing a core from the Elkader area which was drilled in the 1960s and plans to drill a second core to learn more.  https://now.uiowa.edu/2019/01/hawkeye-states-geologic-promise
