Carbon Sequestration in Iowa

Posted on September 28th, 2018

One method of decreasing emissions otherwise sent into the atmosphere is to divert them from their source to long-term, underground storage.

Carbon sequestration is the act of capturing, transporting, and injecting CO2  into deep geologic storage.

Can this be done in Iowa?

The IGS recently assessed the Potential for Geologic Sequestration of CO2 in Iowa.
