PhD student Tommy Sutarto and his wife  welcomed a baby daughter (Gwen Natalie Tandirogang) just one week before Christmas.  Congratulations to Tommy and his family!  Tommy is a PhD candidate working with Thanos Papanicolaou.

 

Funding Awards and Renewals:

Allen Bradley, received $40,000 for “CS2 Thermal Model update and  investigation of the LaSalle Cooling Lake.”

Nathan Young, received a $7,368 contract from Alliant Energy for Iowa River Bathymetric Measurements in the vicinity of Amana, Iowa.

Marcela Politano was awarded supplemental funding of $11,268 from the Idaho Power Company for “3D Modeling of Deep Water Pump in Brownlee Reservoir – Turbine 5 Shutoff Simulations.”

 KB Chandran and Sarah Vigmostad were awarded a subaward for $122,588 from the University of Texas Health Science Center (prime sponsor – NIH) for “Mitral Valve Dynamic Analysis and Potential Clinical Applications.”

Witek Krajewski, Anton Kruger, and Ricardo Mantilla were awarded a $172,721 contract with the Iowa Department of Transportation for “Pilot Project for a Hybrid Road-Flooding Forecasting System on Squaw Creek.”

Nathan Young and Dan Gilles were awarded a contract for $7,368 from the Alliant Energy Corporation for “Iowa River Bathymetric Measurements in the Vicinity of Amana, Iowa.”
