When & Where

Saint Louis University
St. Louis, Mo.
July 12–15, 2016

St. Louis is located on the eastern border of Missouri on the western banks of the Mississippi River. Visitors to the city appreciate its friendly atmosphere and its cultural attractions (e.g., the St. Louis Museum of Art). St. Louis is a popular place for international meetings because of its good infrastructure, compact easy-to-walk downtown area, plentiful hotels at reasonable prices, and personal safety. Its international airport, less than 13 miles from downtown St. Louis and accessible via the MetroLink rail system, makes the city easy to reach.

Conference Venue

The main venue of the conference will be situated on the campus of the Saint Louis University, about three miles from the downtown area. Many hotels are available nearby and in the downtown area. Access should be relatively fast via car (a 10-minute drive from downtown and a 5-minute drive from the airport) or local bus.

Conference participants may choose to stay at the Hotel Ignacio, a boutique hotel in the vibrant midtown area of Saint Louis near Saint Louis University and in the immediate vicinity of the conference venue. For more information or to make a reservation, visit the Hotel Ignacio website. Special affordable accommodations in a student residence hall on the Saint Louis University campus will be available, primarily for students and young scientists.

July weather is fairly pleasant in the U.S. Midwest, with average daily temperatures of about 25°C.
