Shallow Flows Symposium: Paper Submission & Review

The recommended length of the full paper is up to eight pages. However, full papers with a length of up to 10 pages are acceptable. The format of the FULL PAPER is essentially the same as the one for the EXTENDED ABSTRACT. It is important that you adhere to the required format to the extended abstract and full paper. Please download and use the Microsoft Word template for the full paper.

Once you finish the FULL PAPER, it is recommended you update the extended abstract to make it consistent with the FULL PAPER. You can resubmit the EXTENDED ABSTRACT with the FULL PAPER. Both submissions should be as a WORD DOCUMENT via e-mail to . In the case of larger files (more than 10 Mbytes), please send a short notice by e-mail in advance.

In case you use figures or other material already published in another conference/journal or other type of publications that carries a copyright, the authors are RESPONSIBLE for obtaining permission to reproduce that work.

Printed book of Proceedings will contain the EXTENDED ABSTRACTS and the full-length keynote papers (up to 14 pages in length). The CD Proceedings will contain the full papers. For the CD Proceedings, the authors are encouraged to provide color images. Both Proceedings will be handed out to the participants upon arrival to the symposium.

Full registration of at least one author is a requirement for oral or poster presentation, as well as inclusion of accepted paper in the conference proceedings. Each participant paying full registration can submit and present (if accepted for oral or poster presentation) no more than two papers of which he or she is a co-author.

Provisional acceptance will be based on extended abstracts. The new deadline for submitting abstracts is Nov. 10, 2011. Complete instructions and abstract templates are available online.

Each participant paying full registration can submit and present (if accepted for oral or poster presentation) up to two papers. The full papers will be reviewed by members of the international scientific committee. Depending on the total number of submissions, posters sessions may be organized. The goal is to insure a high quality of the papers accepted for oral presentation and have a small number of parallel sessions. All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings. A volume of extended abstracts will be published. It will be distributed together with a Proceedings CD-ROM to symposium participants.
