He is also professor in the Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa. He is a health services researcher who investigates issues relating to access to care, quality, cost, and outcomes of care. He is a graduate of the UI College of Dentistry (DDS) and UCLA School of Public Health (MPH).
Chuck Connerly

His research focuses on the mutual impact of university and city development in Iowa City, Iowa, with special attention to how both university and city planning and development policies contributed to the hundreds of millions in dollars in property damage that took place during the record 2008 flood of the Iowa River.
